Circus Tricks

When booking Circus Tricks for an event/incursion, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Arrival/Departure
Contractor will arrive 1-3 hours before work commences to conduct a site inspection prior to unloading.

1.1) Parking
Contractor requires parking within 500m of job, when unavailable; parking fee’s billed to organizer, & expected delays to job start time and completion of work.
*Check with the venue if contractor may leave vehicle in loading dock.
*Check if ‘workzone’ spaces are available near venue.

1.2) Loading

contractor is to arrive at venues loading dock, (or staff area) to be met by organizer or nominated contact.
contractor must wait up to 20 minutes for this meeting, before dismissing themselves from job site for breach of service agreement.
If Organizer fails to comply with our standards of practice, the show will be cancelled without refund.

*When booked at a private residence/public performance, organizer must meet artist at their vehicle prior to site inspection/unloading.

1.3) Unloading

Contractor will exit the venue upon completion of their works within 1 hour of finishing job.
It is understood that posing for images post production is considered a billable service requested by organizer, to contractor, and will result in extra charges.

If organizer offers food/drinks post production, contractor may choose to stay at event at their own discretion.

2. Payment Terms

2.1) For private functions; all charges must be paid in full, before performance start time. (sole traders are considered private)
Educational Organizations, Corporations, Associations & Trusts are permitted to pay by months end of job completion.
*Late payment will result in a dishonor charge added to bill on the 1st of each month overdue. dishonor charge is calculated at 25% of total booking amount.


2.2) Booking deposit is required for private functions, to secure performance date and time.
We also accept payment in full as deposit, and supply a signed contract in these instances only.
CIRCUS TRICKS acknowledges that an email agreement of booking confirmation is legally binding.


2.3) CIRCUS TRICKS reserves the right to hold our own Cancelation & Refund Policy

3. Venue Requirements:

3.1) Dressing Room.
contractors require a private room to prepare for their work. This room must include;
– Door with a lock; no accessibly for venue staff or event patrons while contractor is preparing for job.
– 1x1m² clearance for circus equipment storage
– 1 Chair per contractor booked.

3.1.2) No Dressing Room Available.
When a dressing room can not be supplied by organizer, CIRCUS TRICKS will provide this service for ourselves with a mobile solution. Please refer to our PRICE LIST for charges associated with this extra service.

3.3) Clearance.
When Booking a circus show, organizer must allow for 3x3m² space or 5x5m² for pyrotechnic displays.
A site inspection will be undertaken before contractor unloads to ensure safety standards are met before commencing work.
In the event that organizer has failed to provide adequate clearance, the contractor may offer general circus roving as an alternative to booked show, or cancel the job due to ‘Occupational Health & Safety’ standards ignored.

It is the responsibility of our contractors to keep the public and themselves safe, and the organizer/venue to comply with ‘Occupational Health & Safety’ practices.

3.4) Refreshments.

If contractor is booked 2+ hours on site, at an event where food and drink is served, an allocation of these amenities is to be provided by organizer for contractor to consume within dressing room.


4.) Shows.

Shows require a minimum 3x3m clearance for performance to commence (5x5m for danger acts with appropriate barriers in place)
Contractor will provide show music via USB, on their phone and emailed to organizer no later than 1 week prior to job.

Contractor may supply their own amplification, when organizer is unable. refer to our PRICE LIST for charges associated with this extra service.

5.) Roving
If the organizer has booked a roving entertainer, then requests a show on event date; the organizer will be billed the full show amount with an admin fee added to bill at the rate of 10% total booking amount.
Due to ‘Occupational Health & Safety’ requirements; pyrotechnic acts will never be booked as roving entertainment.

6.) Crowd Control
It is the responsibility of the event organizer and/or venue to ensure their patrons are appropriately controlled. If any patron disrupts a performance then the artist may cancel their participation in the event, without refund.

7.) Copyright
7.1) CIRCUS TRICKS encourages our clients and fans to take images of our performance work. We acknowledge that when performing in public, our physical image (copyright) belongs to the client, venue and patrons enjoying our works.

7.2) There are to be no images taken of our contractors whilst dressing, loading or unloading. breach of contractors privacy will result in cancelation of any future bookings with client, without refund.

7.3) CIRCUS TRICKS contractors may use licensed audio tracks for ambiance. We do not hold licenses to use this music commercially, however we pay for streaming rights to use these tracks to assist our work as physical theatre performers.

7.4) All Images supplied to organizer on booking remain the property of CIRCUS TRICKS, and can not be used for advertising without our expressed consent.
